Welcome To The Howay H Website!
Who is Howay H? Is he the genius many people purport him to be, or is he just a "no talent" hack cashing in on the ignorance of others?
Well, this web site is designed for you to decide who, and what, this enigma called, Howay H, is to you--genius or fraud?
Howay H has dabbled in the arts for many years as a painter, poet, writer, lyricist and musician.
His first love was music, and at an early age he took up drumming to satisfy his inner urges.
And today, if he is still alive, we believe he could still sit at drum kit, and slap the skins like there is no tomorrow.
Although he still loved his music in his later years, his writing, and his passion to paint had moved front and center.
He became a prolific writer of poems and prose, and he turned out art pieces spanning the scope of many disciplines.
Shortly, we will speak about Howay H's art, music, writing and his many other talents.
But first, let us take a step back in time to see if we can discover who Howay H really is.
And what makes him tick!

DENIAL A Poem By Howay H |
Denial
The beast with an ugly head
Pushes the truth away
Blinds you and fools you
To keep the pain in check
It's a magician
A master of illusion
It's slight of hand
That tricks you with deception
Like a poison flowing through your veins
Harming you while you're not aware
It's tasteless and odorless
But damaging just the same
It's a circus mirror distorting the truth
Creating an image of an alternate reality
The reflection you see is not real
It's colored and flawed
Displaying something false
Denial will get the best of you
If you let it persist
So, drop the shield
Walk forward unprotected
Let the truth penetrate your soul
Be vulnerable, even if it hurts
Cause once the wound heels
You will be better than new
Live and learn truth
By embracing yourself
For who and what you are
To defeat the enemy
The enemy known as
Denial
So, who is Howay H?
Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. Is this the case with Howay H? You be the judge as you read the account of his life as it was told to us.
In the vast expanse of the Gobi desert in Mongolia, there lived a man unlike any other. He was a true artist in every sense of the word – a drummer, a photographer, a writer, and a creator of the most wonderful and original pieces. Yet, despite his immense talents, he remained unknown to the world, disappearing into obscurity.
No one knew his name, for he preferred to keep to himself, living a solitary life in a small tent in the middle of the desert. He spent his days drumming on the ancient rocks, capturing the beauty of the desert through his camera lens, and writing poetry that mirrored the ever-changing landscape. His pieces were mesmerizing, each one telling a unique story, but they remained hidden from the world, known only to the desert winds.
Some say he was searching for something, others believed he had found it and was content to stay hidden. But the truth was, he was haunted by a past that he couldn't escape. Long ago, he had been a successful artist in the bustling city, but the constant pressure and expectations had suffocated his creativity. Seeking solace, he had fled to the Gobi desert, where he found a new kind of inspiration – one that came from within.
As the years went by, he became more and more reclusive, losing himself in his art and the vastness of the desert. His pieces became darker, reflecting the turmoil within him, until one day, he vanished without a trace. Some say he was swallowed by the desert, others believe he simply disappeared into thin air.
But those who knew him best knew that he had finally found the peace he had been searching for, and his art would forever remain his legacy, a reminder of a man who disappeared into obscurity, but left behind a trail of wonder and mystery in his wake.
Many argue the story of Howay H is too incredible to be real, whereas others claim to have met the man and attest to the story as told. Regardless, much of his work has been found in remote territories of Mongolia by, The Friends Of Howay H Foundation, and brought to the United States for careful review, authentication and study by experts.
And here, for the first time, you are now able to see and review the talent that is Howay H as his work is now being released and posted for public consumption by, The Friends Of Howay H Foundation, on this web site. We begin with the Fission series below.
Fission Series
The Fission series is an homage to Andy Warhol, whose innovative experimentation, and use of repetition intrigued Howay to experiment with various techniques of his own making to produce pieces similar, yet different, to tell a story. In Fission Howay turns to watercolor to enhance the simple, three picture series, depicting a drummer who is playing to such a frenzy, he splits into two!
It is interesting to note how the first two pictures, Fission1 and Fission 2, are fluid, abstract renderings, with a quick sketch like undercarriage, whereas the final picture, Fission 3, depicting the two drummers after separation, is done in a simplistic, almost, coloring book sort of manner. Why he chose the two distinct styles is a question that has never been answered. What are your thoughts?
Devil Rising
The Devil Rising is not one of Howay's most appreciated piece, basically because of its subject matter. But when one looks closely at the extraordinary amount of color blending, and the incorporation of various stroking styles, you then begin to appreciate what a special piece this really is. Often it is not the picture itself that makes it a remarkable piece, it is how that picture is composed and constructed. Take a look for yourself. First is the full picture, under that, a larger than usual online copy of the devil himself.
JUST A MAN
A Poem By Howay H.
hot head
the clown
the shoe whore
and insane
i am known
by each of these
very descriptive
names
but who am i really?
am i any of those?
to some respects
i am
i suppose
but deep inside
where feelings reside
i am just a man
a man that's doing
doing the best he can
it's a troubled world and
i'm trying to beat the system
i'm trying to make it through each day
cause i'm really tired
playing the game
i am a tired old hoot
sad and forlong
waiting for the grim reaper
to give me that fatal boot
but with each and every passing day
it never comes
so i pretend
i create a character
different for everyone
it's a way of coping
it's a way to have fun
a way to get by
until i no longer awaken
to the misty haze
of the bright desert sun
